It is also believed she was born to the Senatorial class, but, like echizento says, not much known about her prior to or after the death of Trajan Decius and her sons Herennius Etruscus and Hostilian.

Your coin is very nice with good detail. I only have one of her coins. It is an Antoninianus, RIC 58b, but it's not near as nice as your coin. Then again, I didn't pay much either.

echizento and jwharper => thanks for your daily comments ...

yah, I looked around a bit and didn't find very much info on her either ... I guess the wives didn't get quite as much press as the actual emperors of the time (I guess that makes sense, right?) ...

=> the same thing pretty much happens in today's emperor/celebrity world ... well, I guess there are a few exceptions in today's world, like maybe Prince William and Princess Catherine (Kate Middleton) => it seems that there is far more press/chatter associated with some of the wives nowadays!? ... ahhh, sometimes it would be nice to go back to the good ol' days, eh? (*sigh*)

oh, and "thanks" => yes, I really like this coin!! (it's pretty)

NOTE => your coin is also very attractive, jwharper (nice eye appeal) ... as we know, I probably spend a bit too much at times on my coins? I'm sure you probably research your purchases a bit more than I research my purchases (I have a hair-trigger!!)

Awesome thread, all of you are doing a great job and I am learning much about an area of collecting I know virtually nothing about.

Splendid, just splendid.

Rest in Peace

echizento and ValiantKnight-
Every year, Lucy would hold a feetsball for Charlie Brown to kick, pulling it away at the last second. The result was the scene Steve posted.

thats a nice TRAJAN DECIUS, so are all your coins posted so far. With all the silver you guys are posting you are making me want some but I cant...I need to resist the temptation. Eagle reverses are some of my favorites and so are victoria's.

thanks jessvc1 => yah, although a nice chocolate-brown toned AE coin is pretty hard to beat, I absolutely love the AR silver coins!! (both types are nice!!)

... but these AR Tetradrachms are such nice, big, heavy silver coins (28mm @ 14.55 grams) => man it's kinda like a mini silver hockey-puck!!
