Hello,

I have put together four Roosies examples having various rim thicknesses.

One of them, the 1990-P, also exhibited what appears to be a extra indented (marked by blue/white arrows) seam internal to the primary rim.

The lowest appearing comparative shot is that of the 1996-P which exhibits these same type of seam characteristics but to a lesser extent.

Please comment on these examples insofar as the rarity of both the differing rim thicknesses and seam indentation features.

If any additional $ value is applicable because of the presence of these traits, let me know how much %wise.

thanks much,
mdpmedia

I see nothing special about any of these dimes, all within mint tolerances.

There is a degree of variability in strength of strike, which in turn creates a certain amount of variability in the thickness and sharpness of rims. None of the dimes you posted look unusual to me.

The ones that have the taller rims were struck with more force. If you feel the thickness of the rim it will be taller than the others slightly. But the planchet is the same thickness.
