Is it just me? or does the S mintmark on this coin look too thin and fake? It reminds me of the fake mintmark on the fake 1909s vdb coins. Or is this normal for this year?

It may have taken a hit on the upper part of the mint mark making it fatter. I see mark on the tail of the 9.

It looks normal to me. Search for 1969 on this page:

It looks a little fatter than usual. Probably from Die Deterioration.
