Can you guys help me identify a proof edge on a circulated, possible proof dime ?

Its just ONE of the identifying factors, I know, but am trying the whole, check list thing ..
*shine* check
*frosted high points*--ish. Its circulated
*deeper more pronunced detail* check
Razor edge? - in my opinion, yes but am still learning

Looks like a normal dime to me. There is a great deal of variability in the sharpness of the edges of dimes.

It's not a really reliable determinant for dimes because circulation strike dimes vary so much. But proof edges are very sharp; on reeded coins they feel almost like a serrated knife. Trust me, if you find a proof you'll know it. They look very different; there's no mistaking them.

The OP has been making a simple situation much more difficult than it needed to be and when she did not get the answers she wanted to hear, a bit of nastiness on her part ensued- hence the reason for the locking.

Searching circulated coins and hoping that you might find a no-S proof is a fool's errand. I am not saying it is impossible but no-S proofs are rare enough as it is that trying to find one in circulation is virtually impossible. I dare say that you would be more likely to find a 1909-S VDB in circulation than it would be to find a no-S proof of ANY denomination in circulation. At least we know for certain that multiple dealers have intentionally released 09-S VDBs into circulation for promotional purposes so there are at least a few out there.

As for the subject at hand, it would have been much more productive for the OP to purchase a few proof coins herself(even circ proofs are available on ebay) and examined them in-hand to see the differences between a proof and a business strike because apparently all of the verbal descriptions in the world were not enough

WOW! I didn't know what you were talking about boikemist but I found the other thread about the same coin and yes the OP did get out of line
