I have been looking for this one in the Fuld catalog and haven't been able to find it. The 2x2 it came in says it is made of lead. Looks more like zinc to me. It also says it's from 1863. Anyone have any idea what catalog number it is?

Looks like one described in a Stacks auction as:

"New York. New York. Wm. theirbach. 1863. F-630BX-2e. White Metal. Rarity-8."

Thanks Fioti and brg5658. Those both look alike. Except I'm not sure that it would be white metal. I will check the Fuld catalog again when I get a chance and see what composition it could be.

It is a NY630BX-2g.

'g' indicates Lead.

See page 278, Second Edition.

Yes, Cheetah nailed it. These are typically poorly struck. There are a few of these more common, lead storecards from NY City. These off-metal pieces, non-coppers, make an interesting addition to a personal collection of Civil War tokens. Enjoy!
