$15.50 bicentennial halves: tools, milk, sodas
HFT today the cashier said "My manager that empties my drawer really hates you guys." I told her well we could shop somewhere else because the last time they tried to claim to not take halves anymore. she responded "Oh no you don't have to. I don't care what the manager says, it is my job to take money from the customer, and they are money so I will take as many as you want to give. :)"
at the grocery the cashier didn't even blink when I handed her 15, she just counted out the 7 stacks of 2 for the total of seven with one left over and punched it in. That surprised me. First time I have not had any discussion on what it was was it real money or anything, just accept them with a smile. she did have to recount, but it was first thing in the morning and MY mind wasnt even wanting to count yet either!

$10.50 halves: tools Today they again claimed "it takes to long to process, we can't take those." But they took them anyway otherwise I was only going to take the free thing that they took and tore up the coupon for. I dont get it, counting half dollars is a single coin all the same value and 2 make a dolalr. how is that harder to process than counting $0.79 cents? if they mean process as in accounting, then they can jsut give them for change when they have to give more than 50 cents change. the cashier was telling the manager how to run the business though which was funny. jsut another lazy cashier wanting to get paid for not doing any work it seems. $45,233.50 to go.

just those few cashiers that don't want to deal with money. do they expect to get paid for free? most are HAPPY to take cash in ANY form!
