Quote: if you win, are you going to share? If I win the Powerball lottery I'm taking the cash payout of $77 mil and using all of it to pick up boxes halves from every carrier in a 1000 mile radius. That should ensure I get to that secret pallet that has been in the back corner of the vault since 1950

You should go for bags of Ike from the FED if you win, then you can spend those or trade them in for halves later. Might find soe Morgans or PEace in the bags of dolalrs, but what is the most you could find in halves really? That is what I would do. Either way you better share pics of any finds you make!

Let's see. I spent 2 golden dollars and 2 halves at Rite Aid 13 dollars and 4 halves for Turnpike tolls 18 dollar coins at the camp store for ice 1 half dollar at a dairy store 10 dollar coins and 6 halves at the club for drinks and tips 1 dollar coin at a flea market 1 dollar coin at grocery store 2 dollar coins and 4 halves at bowling ------------------------ $55.50 total
$34,869.50 to go
At the camp store, every time I went to buy ice I would hand the girl behind the counter a couple dollar coins and EVERY time (a different person each time) she would turn around and ask "Are we allowed to accept these?". I guess these country girls are not educated on our money.

I was afraid to spend half dollars at the camp store. Who knows what would have happened then. They probably would have given me change for a dollar.

Lately, I have been using half dollars. And the person usually looks at me a bit puzzled, and asks "half dollars?" EDIT - Used Ike dollars the other day, and the person asks "half dollars?" and I told her they were dollars and showed her the difference.
