I spent $5 in a combination of dollar coins and halves. Here's the breakdown:
$4 in dollar coins to go with a $1 bill, in exchange for someone's $5 bill.
$1 in halves to accompany $1 in quarters, to deposit into a donation cup to benefit a local high school's Field Hockey Team.

Spent $9.50 in halves and dollar coins at Kohls Department store in conjunction with a $10 off coupon. I don;t shop there but couldn't pass up a free $10.
Spent $24 in halves and dollar coins at the beer store.

I spent 1 dollar coin and 1 half dollar at the grocery store
1 dollar and 1 half at Sheetz for a hoagie (yumm, ok it cost more than that but it was still good)
2 dollar coins as partial contribution on pizza at the office
