I spent $10.50 in halves and dollars at the movies today (specifically $7 in dollar coins for my ticket and $3 in dollar coins plus a single half for a box of Whoppers). The cashier at the snack bar had to ask her manager if they took dollar coins, but he assured her they did.

Spent $4 in dollar coins at Burger King for lunch. Spent $17 in dollar coins at the grocery store. Picked up 3/4 of a box of dollar coins to drop on Sears, Roebuck, & Co next week  $28,403 to go  |

I exchanged $4 in dollar coins plus four quarters for someone's $5 bill so I could use a car wash. The auto cashier's coin slot wasn't big enough to accept dollars.

Over the past week I spent $20 in dollar coins and $3 in half dollars at various places, including grocery store, drug store, convenience stores, fast food, tips, etc. Once again I received change for a dollar when I gave the clerk a half. I returned the 2 quarters, of course, and I told him what it was.
