I went and lashed out at this project royal today: Walked to the post office and spent $13 to mail a trade to the UK. I then fetched another roll at the Chase bank on the way back. Later $7 on a salad from the campus cafeteria. $20 total spent $81,696.50

Spent $7.00 used dollar coins. Total was 6.36. So I guess since I used 7 that should count as 7.
$81,689.50 to go.

more bonkers on this project:
At a local asian goods market, spent $10 presidentials on a set of metal chopstiks "Oh, what is this?" the elderly Asian man at the counter said. "One dollar coins" "oh I haven't seen this in a long time. Where you get these" "At the bank, just ask and they might have them" It looked like he was going to keep these for his collection, so they may not count exactly. I'll not leave a total because of this.
$3 spent with a $20 bill for a bowl of Spaghetti.

I have a funny story from today, not about half dollars or dollar coins but about two dollar bills, (which I think are fairly similar), anywho, I was at arbies and I bought a jamocha shake with 2 2 dollar bills and the guy behind me bought a sandwich and some curly fries with a twenty and received one of the two dollar bills in change. When he saw it he was so happy he yelled "a two dollar bill?" "I haven't got one of these since I was a kid" He started shouting, it almost sounded manic. Meanwhile I couldn't stop laughing and the 60-something lady behind the counter just stared at us and grudgingly handed me my jamocha shake.
