Hi guys - just want a rough appraisal on a note.

Was talking to my uncle and aunt over lunch today. They told me about a bank note they had kept in a safebox, so I thought I might try to get a rough idea of how much it is worth.

What they've told me is:
(1) Its a first edition/first print run of the $10 polymer note
(2) The little transparent window feature is shifted about 1cm to the left when compared to another note.

I don't have any picture of the note yet - but they said they will let me have a scan when they go to the bank safe box. Would love to get a rough appraisal so I don't waste their time.

Get the scans, both sides, serial numbers & I'll be interested in all those details & I'll give you some more info if I can help.

Sounds like a note I purchased recently.

jeff , tell them to leave it there where it is right now , I have 4 of them ,still unc , cos numbers , and would be lucky to get $ 20 each for them just now , may inprove in a year or so , but not now ..,.dont want to scare them to much but that is it in todays market .. cheers keldaw ,,..,

Out of interest though goatieman23 - how much did you purchase the note for?

Blanky, Great to see another Aussie in the family
There are a few of the Aussie members on this site that probably know more about Australian banknotes that the people that print them.I'm not one of them I have a few banknotes but am strictly a coin man
See if you can scan both sides of the note and you will get a definitive answer from these members
