I just finished my box pennies and I got a mixture of both american and Canadian. I bought the box in Canada but suprisingly I got quite a few wheat cents. Here are the results.

Canadian cents: 1932 1939 (holed) 1940 (4) 1941 1942 (4) 1943 (5) 1945 (2) 1946 (5) 1947 maple leaf 1950 (4) 1951 1952 (6) 1953 (4) 1954 (2) 1955 (6) 1956 (2) 1957 (6) 1958 (2) 1959 (4) 1961 (2) 1962 (2) 1963 (2) 1964 (4) 1979 double date Edited by coincollect1 04/08/2012 2:19 pm

Are you sorting pennies to hoard for the day you can melt? Nice list BTW!

Nice finds!
I'm puzzled by how you Canadians are always finding better wheat cents than I do down here in the states.
Maybe it's time for me to head north.

21 wheats in one box up in Canada...amazing! I averaged about 10-12 here in the states when I used to roll search.

Ha ha...ok I was going to say that was quite the haul for one box. Still not bad though. :)

In US, wheat cents were spent for decades. In Canada, they were a novelty, pulled from circulation and kept in nice condition.
