Herennia Etruscilla And Hostillian?

bobbyhelmet Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2838 Posts	Posted 04/09/2012 5:15 pm Picked these up recently, not in great shape but they were cheap. I think they are Herennia Etruscilla, Philip and Hostillian. Anyone got any thoughts on this, I'm not 100%, especially with the bottom one? Report this Post to the Staff

jessvc1 Pillar of the Community United States 2596 Posts	Posted 04/09/2012 9:05 pm For the top coin I think I can see HE in the beginning of obv. legend so I would also say its Herennia Etruscilla, the top right is without a doubt a philip.I think I can see the "C VAL HOST" part in the obv legend "C VAL HOST M QUINTVS CAE" starting under the portrait, so I would say its a hostilian caesar. Doucet Pillar of the Community United States 1315 Posts	Posted 04/10/2012 4:57 pm I found two coins of Hostilian with the legend starting under the portrait on acsearch under Viminacium, but didn't find a portrait match before I had to quit last night. I think it pretty much has to be Hostilian although there were a few of Volusian as well. Yours looks more like HOST rather than VOLV to me. Nice group bobbyhelmet. Report this Post to the Staff
