So much stuff is marked LFC in this collection. I can't find that abbreviation in the glossary here or in my Red Book. (Yes, I do research before I ask questions when I can!). Any idea? My guessing are:
Less than Fine Condition or it could just be something that grandma used and has no meaning to anyone else.

Mary, does there seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the coins that have this on them, i.e. all half dollars or the like? Or, could they be someone's initals?

Jim, you're starting to give me the creeps. First you were dead on with the coin shop theory, now you've hit the nail on the head again. It's initials! LFC. Lela Faye C---. Her sister who was also a coin collector and died back in the 80's. She didn't have any children, so it makes sense that Grandma ended up with everything. Another mystery solved, Mr. Holmes!
