Trout, if you feel you got $24.50 worth of coin, then don't fret on what others are saying

Value is ulimately in the eye of the beholder

And don't under estimate the potential of this coin to rise in value....i have only seen 1 of these and even that had a very very faint ring, nothing like what you bought......it reminds me of the 1981 dot Cud 20c piece....how many people have ever seen a 1981 dot Cud 20c pieces? I have only ever found 1 of these and have never seen it for sale......so when the word does get out you might have in your possession a genuine, keenly sought after coin

Yes it is the one with dot above the first 'R' in Australia
You're doing great if you found 2 in a year - only ever found 1 ever and I think these are super rare and I've been through many many 1981 20c coins
Have you ever seen one for sale?

2004 bighead
2008 "gap"
1971 (very low mintage)
1985 (even lower mintage)
1988 (about on a par with hen's teeth
Any proof or mint set only year ('86. '87, '89-93 & '95) that has escaped custody.
Any early year that is better condition than it deserves to be for it's age. I have found a aUNC 1966 in a change bag

That should be more than enough for starters.

$24 for a bubble 20c? Honestly I think thats a good buy, $24 and not many people know about it... If I can find one for that price id take it anyday, good one trout ! Nicwinner, why would you only pay face value for a genuine error? Each to there own but just wondering.

No offense to Trout or Larena but to me these bubble coins are nothing more than a fancy die break or Cud. Not an error coin but just a poorly manufactured coin.

If I find one while noodling I'll probably keep it but I won't be buying any off ebay.

MOR It seems likely to me that this is a similar case to the wavey in that a single die was damaged.

Now if it catches collectors attention like the wavey is a completely different matter, but I think there are some similarities.
