Received this in an email this morning for anyone in Halifax:

The Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to invite you to Rob Rondeau's book launch and presentation: "Titanic Lives: On Board, Destination Canada".

Mr. Rondeau, a well renowned marine archeologist, has collaborated with the Mint to create the 2012 - 100th Anniversary of the R.M.S. Titanic commemorative coins series.

You will also have the chance to meet the artist of the coin, Mr. Yves Bérubé, the engraver,
Mr. Konrad Wachelko, and the product manager, Mrs. Humara Rana.

Thanks for sharing!

It sounds like it would be a very interesting evening -- lots of insightful Titanic info via the book author plus getting a chance to talk with the artist and RCM folks responsible for the coin.

Too bad it's just a bit too far for me to attend...
