When viewing topics in their respective forums, one can see a list of page numbers that directly links them to a particular page in the targeted thread. This is a very useful tool for obvious reasons.

I have a suggestion. Say that someone were to open up a topic without using those page links and it takes them to the first page. Then in order to view the last page one would have to go to the "Page" scroll bar and go down to the last page number and select that. This is fine for laptops and other stationary computers as this step does not take long. However, on mobile devices (ie. iPod) it requires much more time due to the way the scrollers are set up and can get frustrating, especially for long topics with many pages.

My suggestion is to add a 'Last Page' link at the top of the page next to the 'Previous Page' and 'Next Page' links. This would prove a faster and more convenient way for many CCF users to reach the final page of a topic. Thanks for reading!

I have been thinking about this for...ever since I have been a member. I kinda wish there was a way to differentiate between U.S. Canadian, Australian, Ancients, etc on the left hand side as well (Recent Forum Topics).

Your choice, Dad. Personally I think it should be last page, but if others say last post (or if you say last post) then go with that.

Can we do "First Unread Post?" Maybe and/or?

In truth, this isn't the most mobile-friendly forum I've ever browsed. At this point, though, making it that way would be a ground-level rebuild of staggering complexity.

If you need this, try using the "Active Topics" page; recent topics are sorted by subforum. There's also more flexibility in the definition of "recent". Press the "Active" button in the main forum menu bar near the top of the screen.

First unread post is very tricky.

I've added it towards the top of my list, but I'm very busy through the 22nd. I'll get to it though.

Ahh, first unread post is even better than last page! Great idea SuperDave.

Bobby, how do you change the website up? Is it a software program or do you use HTML coding? I ask because I know html You are correct in saying that it would be tough if that is indeed what you use.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I did a search on 'first unread post' and this came up. Was wondering if this feature had been implemented and I just hadn't spotted it - would be EXTREMELY handy :)

I would like to add my vote for either a jump to last post or jump to last page, particularly for for topics with more than 20 pages (maximum that shows in the list).

OK, now... I do a lot of navigating from 1) the recent posts on my profile page and 2) the list of topics at the bottom of each page. These have no go to last post or page link.

So, I guess my suggestion is to add a last page or topic link near where you have a "next page" or "previous" page, or perhaps just add a choice to the drop down menu for "last page".

I frequently use the "new" Last Page link on multi-page links - thanks for adding that.

Now, just one little correction needed....

When you hover over the Last Page link, the tool tip text states "Go to Next page in this Topic" instead of "Go to the Last page in this Topic".
