I am just venting. I am about to get my first ebay negative from selling $5 worth of baby clothes of all things. I mailed the item last week and the seller contacted me today saying if she hadn't received the item by this Friday she wanted her money back and she'd neg me.

Anyway I just checked my bank acct and it turns out she never transferred the funds in the first place. Stupid me.

I've messaged her several times with no luck, so I've now started a NPB process against her. I can see now she's going to neg me and probably start a dispute. She has only 3 feedbacks and two are negative. Geez what a way to get your first neg.

Mark

I think what you are doing will work out. I think you can make sure the feedback doesn't get posted if she's a NPB. Did she only have three feedbacks when she started bidding? Or did they show up after your deal went through? I see a lot of listings with feedback minimums and minimum percentages as well. Maybe something you can start doing to avoid this....

Plus, without you taking offense, shame on you for sending the items off prior to her paying. An email such as she left for you without even paying first will surely get her the boot from ebay had you received it prior to shipment.

Just my opinion, and certainly do not take offense. Maybe Bobby has some feedback for you since he deals with this all of the time.

Mark, make sure you follow up with the non-paying bidder process.
I'm sure you can have the negative removed if they are declared NP-B's by ebay.
Good luck!

No, I didn't use delivery confirmation, I didnt offer it. It was a 0.99c item with $4 of postage already. I mailed the item on good faith as she said she had transferred the money. I am stupid

Her user name is rlrcarpentry

How do you actually close out the ebay NPB process? Like so many things on ebay it seems easy enough to start but actually getting them involved seems impossible.

markn,
If you want to close the dispute, there's a spot on the left side of the screen in "my ebay" labled "disputes" click on that and then click on view the dispute. There it should have a "close the dispute" tag.

When you close it how do you actually resolve it? This person has not paid me, I have proof of this. Does ebay investigate the matter?

OK never mind I just read the closure page. She's going to get a non paying bidder strike, which will be her second.

I closed out the npb process today. I've had no contact from the buyer, I guess her "proof" of payment isn't quite as compelling as she said it was.

I am confused
How can a NPB who is now NARU'd leave a neg feedback for you?
I didnt think ebay allowed NPBs to give feedback, kind of defeats the whole purpose of honest, non-retaliatory feedback...

check out her feedback profile and find out how long she has been reg'd. If she has been a member for longer than three months it will stick with you. Less than 3 months as a member...ebay will remove all of her feedback given, +and-...whenever they get around to it...Give her a Neg now. if her score goes below -2 she gets NARU'd auto style.
