I am looking for 25 loonies from 1987 as a present for some one turning 25, circulated is fine, any ideas?

There is a roll on ebay for $44.95 but you would be paying a twenty dollar premium for them being uncirculated.

You might try getting rolls from the bank and picking through to find 1987's....not sure how prevalent they are amongst other years but I imagine they aren't too hard to find.

Also, I'm sure RCM will issue something this year for the 25th anniversary of loonies.

I agree with canuck1us, getting loonie rolls from the bank will be the cheapest way to go. The 1987 is by far the most common mintage (205,405,000 according to my Charlton Catalogue). I'm always finding them in my change. Although you might need to buy 6-8 rolls before you find enough (just a guess though).

you may find 25 loonies if you search bank rolls, but they'll probably look awful. Peronally, I'd buy the brand new roll on ebay.

1987s are still plentiful in circulation. You shouldn't have to search many rolls to find 25 of them.
Rest in Peace

or you could just purchase this one instead: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Canada..._1636wt_1153

or directly from the mint: http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/silve...-prod1210001

It's kind of classic if your friend is a bit of a loon: "the loonie turns 25"
