My final and perhaps favorite of the bunch is this handsome U.S. half-dollar sporting a mintage of a mere 5006. The ding on the sun ray is not quite as apparent as the photo might suggest, but it's there.

Once PCGS weighs in, I'll return for updates, hopefully with lots of these (but not counting on it). Thanks for allowing me to participate in show & tell. It's been a great class!

Stunning coin. And the ding doesn't distract from it too badly.

Another nice looking coin! I wouldn't worry too much about the ding on the reverse ray -- unless you were hoping for an MS-70 grade!

I'm looking forward to the "after" images in its new holder.

Great coin ... another beauty from your soon to be PCGS set.

This is my personal favorite design from the classic silver set ... a sentiment supported by many collectors.

At risk to my reputation ... I'm guessing PCGS MS64 on this lovely coin ...

I note from your fine photos a bag hit on the right breast on the obverse Indian portrait ... otherwise a no-problem coin best as I can see.

The minor hits at focal points will IMHO contrive to keep this below gem MS65 grade ...

Looking forward to what PCGS has to say.

David

Oregon ranks up there among my favorite commemorative half dollars...just behind the Texas Independence Centennial half. Coming soon to my 7070!

Very nice! I'd say they'll grade it as an MS-65.

wquinn, you are a winner in this final grade of the semester (close counts).

Highest grade of the bunch, so says the professor!

The Connecticut Tercentenary and Texas Independence Centennial half remain at the top of my watch list.

It's been so much fun sharing with you folks.

A well earned grade. mine is too bright and would probably come back as cleaned.
