Hi guys

Does anyone know why this 1919s penny is a different colour than pennies around the same year...?

Alloy mixture issue. These are frequently called 'woodies' because of their resemblance to wood grain. No added value, and in fact detrimentally affects grade for many when it's severe.

The color difference looks to me from a cleaning.

Hi John1

Looks as though it was cleaned ( I guess) but found these American coins in my Dad's old box that he collected a long time ago...No other coin looks like it was cleaned...
