garys64wildcat Pillar of the Community United States 593 Posts	Posted 04/19/2012 12:14 am My Canadian Neighbors from Wa State Im new to this site but not to coins, but have been away from it for many years. My newest Canadian Coin Guide is dated 1958. How the prices have went up. I have a Gold proof 1$ that I dont know alot about Manitoba Gold 1 dol on reverse and Victoria lettered and Maple Leaf and 1898 date on obv. Any info would be helpful. I was told they were in 18k or 22k and that the RCMP seized a bunch of these coins as illegal to own. I traded a 86 or 1887S Morgan 1$ for it. It seems like I have found an excellant forum for the hobby. I have always had a thing about Canadian and US coins and hope to get back into working on my sets. Thanks again for the help.
