Hi everyone, thanks for your comments on my first posting about my 1972 fifty cent Cud. I've been so inspired by your knowledge that I went out and bought $110 of coins from the bank to noodle through - and I am soooo excited. I have just found a 2011 and a 2010 fifty cent coin that both have nearly identical Cuds on the rump of the coat of arms kangaroo. I've tried taking photos just now but it's impossible to macro zoom in with my interior light on and not either shadow it out completely or have too much shine. I'll use natural sunlight tomorrow to take piccies but couldn't wait to hear if anyone else has found this same Cud yet and/or how common is it for a Cud to be in the same place across two different years of mintage. Thanks, M

awildeheart !.

Yes, it is fun to look through change from the bank.
You never know what surprises you may find !.

Night-time in Melbourne now, so I am off to my favorite coffee-shop for a cup of inspiration and some relaxation !.

Afterwards a look through some 50 cent pieces. I will keep an eye out for the " Cud on the rump of the Kangaroo". I have found some Cuds around the "50" of this coin - esp. 2007, 2008 and 2009 dates ( see https://goccf.com/t/113939 ). But your find is new to me .

I think I have about $400 of 2010 50c, most of which will go back into the pond soon.
I will have to look thorough them for these.
Thanks for sharing.
BTW. It looks like the 2010s are becoming less common in the rolls I got today. For a while there were heaps of them in the rolls. I think they have stopped adding new ones to the rolls so its just the whatever is in circulation (rather than whatever 2010s are in circulation + new ones as well).
Good luck Dibby!

I found one of each on both 2010 and 2011 50 cent coins.
I wonder if it exists on other years as well.

I did have some minor success in last night's noodling through my 50 cent change.
I found a 2004 coin with quite a lot of doubling. Even along the Kangaroo's back. I have posted this in https://goccf.com/t/115133

Also a 50 cent coin with distinct gold toning. I shall try to take a photo under favorable conditions and post it soon.
