With the exception of the 2009 coins I have completed my circulation set by finding a 1950d nickel in the wild.
Now I can start chasing shadows and update the coins that I have. They are currently in a Whiteman album but I think that I'll get a Dansco album so that I can see both sides of the coin and can update them easier from there.
I do plan on keeping the three albums that brought me to this point. No point in throwing out the old for something new.
This is my first milestone. I'm close with a couple more and will now focus on them.

From your description, I take it your using a Whitman Folder, not an Album. You do not need to purchase a Dansco you know. Whitman, as well as many others make Albums too. Being a Whitman person, a minority on this forum, I usually mention them for Albums. I am badly outnumbered on this subject though.

Awesome!
I'm only about 10 nickels away from completing my 1st circulation set (in Whitman folder). I also have a Dansco album (8113) for the high-grade pieces and proofs that I'm buying. That one, I expect, will take quite a bit more time to put together.

Congratulations! I've been searching nickels for years and have yet to complete my set, though I have managed to complete frankin halves from circulation. I too keep a dansco for the higher grade ones and proofs that I find

That is amazing to find a 1950 D in circulation! Congrats on completing the set! How many rolls did you have to search through?

Congratulations ... I know of the challenges in completing the set from circulation and salute your accomplishment. I need two Jefferson ... 1938-S and 1943-D to complete my set. Well done. David

Congratulations! I also think moving from a the Whitman folder to a Dansco album is a good choice.
