From what I can tell the T UST are extra thick with what appears to be doubling. Also I see some nothing in the T and R.

I got this out of a mint set to (almost) finish my album.

If anyone has experience with this particular error (if it is one) please chime in! Thanks! This would be my first Doubled Die find!

Fingers crossed!

Lonz!

From your pics, I'd say it's a normal coin, not a Doubled Die.

Here are a few pics from a 1964D that I have

Notice the split serifs on the letters etc.
You can clearly see the doubling.

Hope these help.

Good luck in your searches!

Thanks Chuckster! I keep getting my hopes up that it will at least be some obscure (need 40X magnification) doubled die variety. I guess when I DO find one - I'll know it!

Nice earlier die state example. With the ealier die state examples you get a lot clearer example of the different hub doubling.

I see your having issues with 2 light sources. One is probably the lighting you use at 12:00. The secondary is from the right. An easy way to remove this is to tape a facial tissue on your scope to block the unwanted glare. You can see you 12:00 light source is diffused, but the light from the right side is not diffused. The way to tell what direction is to flace you hand next to the coin and see where to place the facial tissue.
