As far as I can tell, the two dates are 1923 and 1924. With other US coins, a G4 grade would require that all digits of the date be readable, however with this series, the dates wore off if the wind blew wrong.

I wouldn't grade either of these as higher than G4 because of the missing date digits. I'm sure that there are others who won't agree with me. The actual coin details (ignoring the date) would be VG8 in both cases, in my opinion.

If you could post the dates it would help.I can't make them out and it could make a lot of difference in the grade.

Susan was correct. They are 1923 and 1924.

I'm going to say F-12 on the 1924 and F-15 on the 1923.Drapery lines still showing at the sides of the right leg.I gave the 1923 a little better marks because more detail in the shield is showing than on the 24.A strong wind would blow the dates off the pre 1925 SLQ's in my opinion,so the pre 25's deserve a little more consideration.
