1982 Zinc Penny With Pimples - Coin Community Forum

whatsthedillio Valued Member United States 131 Posts	Posted 04/22/2012 02:13 am I have loads of 1982 BU zinc pennies that have these bumps on them. Does this make them undesirable for collecting? In 1982 I worked in a quik trip (like 7-11) store and noticed that the penny was being changed from copper to zinc. So I grabbed about $50 that came in bank rolls some being zinc and some copper. All of them are virtually flawless except lots of the zinc pennies have these bumps. Report this Post to the Staff

When seeking to by a variety coin you wish to keep, DON"T buy one with these bubbles. They continue to get worse with time. Report this Post to the Staff
