This seller has some obvious fake coins like a 1906 American Silver Eagle ...lol
and some crummy looking fake Morgans. I don't know enough about the older dollars to call him out on it though.

not an expert either but I would bet money that coin is fake. His reserve was met and the bidding is only at 150 dollars when that coin should go for no less than a thousand. It looks to be in too good of shape too.

That coin was an MS-62 and went for 84k and the listing you showed looks better than it and is going for 150 dollars. The stars on it look different too but with the minting process back then I am not sure how normal that is

Impossible to say without a number of tests to be carried out, necessary with a coin of the high implied value it would have, if genuine.

Until then, you would just have to assume fake, stay quiet and pass.

It's a nice fake if it is. The only thing I can find wrong with it are the denticles. That said, I ain't bidding on it.

Let's see, 6 FB in three years, a less-than-$150 reserve on a six digit coin,

.i know nothing about them if they are real or fake you decide check out my other listings

Several of those"other listings" are obvious fakes, and you're not selling on ebay.

Guess that tells us all we need to "decide".

Look at the difference in post time, still two minutes to go, from 150 to 295 at the moment

Looks like stupidity has a limit, too.

Just think, for that price, they could have bought a nice genuine gold piece or a fistful of unc Morgans.

Looks like there's a strong market for obvious fakes.
