So the 75th Anniversary ASE set is now the real deal. Looks like it's on the schedule now for Thursday, June 7, 2012. Wonder how much, household "limits" and if it's gonna be a repeat of October 25, 2011, frenzy-wise. Who's buying?

Do we know what the two coins will be?

An 2012 S-mint proof AND a reverse 2012-S proof ASE.

I think the biggest questions are now (for me):
1. Mintage 2. Household Limit 3. Packaging 4. Where I'm going to be at noon Eastern Time on June 7th (that's an easy one!)
I'm DEFINITELY buying. :) If the limit allows for two, I'll get two. Don't think I'll go any crazier than that though.

Im very excited for this now. I love the reserve proofs. I am DEFINITELY buying as close to noon as possible, I might end up getting the household limit after missing out on the 25th anniversary

Do collectors not feel a little burned since the 2011 set came through? Obviously wasn't enough for all of us. This set is almost guaranteed to not outdo that set. Thoughts?

I hope it won't be a repeat of last year when the site crashed because everyone logged on to order. On top of it all I heard a lot of people couldn't even get one order and some people got 20 of them.

Whatever the limit is, that's what I'm ordering. I made the mistake of only ordering 3 of the 2011 sets. Kept 2 for my kids and sold one. Selling 3 of 5 would have made the ones for my kids free.

I would love to see the reverse proof added every year in some sort of set like this with unique coins to the set

I am pretty sure I will be purchasing the household limit as well.

Quote: I would love to see the reverse proof added every year in some sort of set like this with unique coins to the set I agree! I love all the varieties. Such a beautiful coin and the different finishes really show off the artwork. I've heard folks calling for ultra-high relief, which would kick butt too. Wonder what else the mint has on the design table...

An Ultra High relief would be amazing. It really is a very beautiful coin in any style. Its one of the few coins where I think the more varieties the better.
I would love to know what the mint is thinking about for future designs. Personally I would love to see a reverse proof that has the design from the silver for the front, and the gold eagle design on the back.

Is there any information on the mint's site about this? I looked and couldn't find anything.
Edit - I see it on the schedule.. I'm interested in how much each set will cost. Any ideas? $150-$200?

It'll be interesting to see what limits they put on it. The reverse proof will be really nice and I wish they would make one each year.
I know they don't want a repeat mess like last year, so hopefully they are minting more.
