Is that the one I TRIED to buy but was too late? Just when I thought all the pain and suffering was past, Susan posts another picture!!! Oh the pain!!! And to think I only missed it by a few hours or so? Kind of brings up the old saying, "Think long, think wrong"! Torture, thats what this is TORTURE!!! I know I could have given that coin a great home here in Indiana and now she is wandering around lost and alone! (little drama here) And, I am still Gothic Florin-less!!!

Terry, if it makes you feel any better, Unknown on Coin People gave it a great home and he fully appreciates it. I really didn't want to traumatize you. If we ever get another one, you'll have first crack at it.

Thats all right Susan! The shaking has ended and I am starting to breathe again and my wife says my color is almost back to normal! Looks like I am going to make it after all! Actually, when comparing your coin, to others on ebay at the time I realized yours was a bargain and bit just a little to late. Really glad to see the photo again of a very beautiful opportunity I blew!

I don't believe she is half as pretty as the Mercury dime. Miss Liberty is beautiful on that coin. The Walking Liberty half dollar is also a favorite of mine. Both of these coins were designed by Adolf Weinman who had a real eye for design and eye candy. LOL In 1800 all circulating coins had Liberty on them In 1850 all circulating coins had Liberty on them In 1900 all circulating coins had Liberty on them In 1950 all circulating coins had political/Presidents on them (what happened?) In 2000 all circulating coins had Presidents or Sacagawea (why Sacagawea?) Libery is the important image on USA coinage. I'd like to see her return.

There's my baby. I think I paid somewhere around $75 to a little more? I got it from a guy in the UK when the exchange rate was a little more favorable than it is now, I believe.

Stujoe, yours looks to me to be uncirculated, but I found out from your forum members that I was initially grading these too liberally. There is so much detail in these that I find it difficult to grade. What do you grade it?

I have no real idea but I would grade mine an AU in person as it has some wear visible in person. I imagine the European graders might call it an aEF. Maybe an EF if they were feeling generous.

You mean I have to wait for you to croak? Well, make sure my name gets in the WILL would you! Darn I hate the wait but would rather have you around to share your coin knowledge than to have the coin! At least I know where there are a couple of beauties!
