I have a 1999-P New Jersey Quarter that is gold colored like a SAC dollar. I am wondering if it is one of the experimental planchets. It looks to weigh just slightly more (.1g) than a regular quarter. One thing about it though is a die crack running from the lower left bust to the "U" in Quarter. I wouldn't think one of the experimental coins would have put enough wear on the dies to crack them, so it may be plated instead.
Any thoughts on where to get this verified and graded? Thanks

Plated. Some company did this to a LOT of quarters and we are now starting to see people spend them. Either on this forum or another, someone found one of the platinum electroplated quarters.

They, of course, have no numismatic value because they are altered.
