Help With 1891 Large Cent - Coin Community Forum

cipster Pillar of the Community United States 2364 Posts	Posted 04/26/2012 4:47 pm I'm not too good with the details of the Canadian Large cents and would appreciate some help. I bought this coin to complete my large cent collection. It's low quality, but it fills the empty spot for now. I bought it as 1891 'small date' but am not sure how to determine if it is small date. Terry-T Valued Member Canada 115 Posts	Posted 04/27/2012 4:52 pm Easiest way to tell the difference; Large date - centre of 9 is a circle, small date - centre is oval.
