Hey Pops ,

Yea this is strange .. We know its worn .. But nothing shows on the obverse to have been damaged that I can tell .. Something seems to have been pressed into it ? At certain angles you can kinda make out "Letters" ?

but again nothing shows on the obverse that Something was pressed (no flat spots to correspond with the "Strip" like band deal on the reverse at the bottom of the wheat stalks) ..

Really curious what some of you may also think ?

Not thinking its a coin of crazy value (or is it ha).. just plain ole curiosity as to what anyone may think would do this ? Is it a error with the Planchet ? or just , some kinda damage ?

Stranger find Pop ..

Something out of the ordinary is going on there; looking forward to hearing from the experts. Don't think this is your average vise job. But I could be wrong.

It is a common lamination, a flaw in the alloy that can cause peeling layers.

They run across a coin in straight lines. Sometimes they peel and sometimes not. This one didn't.
