ok so it looks like its been cleaned found it in an ol widow's husbands stash I've been going through. and ok. so I know the chances that this is not real are pretty high. but how do I know?
I mean it really looks like a real copper penny. what do I do?
is it really worth very much?

Place it next to a magnet. If it sticks, it's a copper plated steel cent. cheapest test there is.

yeah, too bad no one wants to buy a very pretty counterfeit... but it looks good in the book ;)
