I looks like a possible mintmark coming out of the sticks. You never know. I can find zero records of this in this year. Looks like something to me. But, who knows. So. Reposting a close up for you to take a look. Thanks again forum members for your help. Cheers! -Ryan
From 1946 to 1964 MM were on the reverse and coins were 90% silver. 1965 they were of a less expensive alloy consisting of outer layers of copper-nickel over a core of pure copper and the MM is on the Obverse.
I think he's saying that there's an RPM that's partially intersecting with the torch. It's hard to tell from these pictures, it could be a chip or something too.
I know its a silver dime. And I am aware of where the mintmark locations are. I am asking if anyone has seen this possible protrusion from the sticks on the reverse. It could be nothing. But it is curious. The date is 1955 S. Mintmark located on the "reverse" :p
