I compared this to every other 1999 in the box of $25, it doesn't seem to touch when looking on with a loupe from a diagonal angle, yet not as wide as all the years that actually do feature a WAM.

Thoughts? Pretty sure its a CAM, but thought I'd ask.

JoeT,

On wide ams a secondary marker is the initials (FG). On a Wide AM the'll be closer to the memorial.

See http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html

From your photo they don't look close enough to be a Wide AM. Sorry.

That LMC reverse shown is a CAM. If the obverse carries a date of 1999, then this is the 'normal' business strike for the year.

As suggested above, focus on the location of the designers initals to the right of the memorial base. On a CAM they are far from the base ... on a WAM they are close to the base.

I figured! To me the FG also looked closer. I was following the incredible website you mentioned. I'm sure I'll have it down to a science as soon as I see one. I'm going to ask next time I'm at the coin shop :)

Just compare to a known WAM, such as 1992. The M will be centered between the A & E....a slight seperation is pretty common on some of the CAM's.
