The "FG" isn't correct to be a WAM. Its a CAM.

Just because the A and M do not "touch" doesn't make it a Wide AM. It's a complete change in the design that causes the difference. The shape of the letters is different, even the placement of a number of the letters is different between the two. Don't hone in so much on JUST the A and M - take a 1991 cent and a 1993 cent and compare the designs overall, and you will find a number of differences between the two. Look at the initials, the A and M, the spacing between the letters in STATES, the features of the memorial building. You will easily see that these are two completely different engravings.
