I was wondering if someone could tell me which variation this is?
K.G. Close to dots, or K.G. Close to rim And what would be the value of the coin in this quality approximately?

1950 3,600,000 1.25 2.50 15.00 25.00 45.00
Note: K. G. close to dots

1950 Inc. above 2.00 8.00 25.00 60.00 100
Note: K. G. close to rim

I think that this coin is of the scarcer type.
It has seen extensive circulation and has some wear, most evident on the side of the King's head and the high part of the cheek.
The condition is VF.
The reverse with this design always seems to be in better condition than the obverse. Perhaps that is a tribute to Kruger Gray's design. (KG)

Thanks Sel,

I got an offer for $10 and didn't know if it was too low?
So I suppose I shouldn't sell it this low, I don't have any place for it in my collection. But I don't want to get ripped and find out it's worth way more.. So could anyone give an indication value wise?

Where did you get your notation from? I've only seen this described at the near or far diamond.
I have three of these coins: one is a near diamond (like yours) and the other two are far diamonds.
Not sure about price. I only have a 2007 New Zealand coin catalogue.

Looks like VF to me.
Great strike and a handsome coin.
I do not collect NZ coins but the half crowns may be my next project.
They will fit in perfectly with my Aussie 50 cents and my Canadian 50 cent coins.
All have a great coat of arms and have a Brit monarch on them
Thank you for posting this it has opened a new window of opportunity for collecting for me
