Greetings,
I'm thinking of sending this coin in to PCGS for grading. Based on detail and luster, I would expect at least an AU-50, maybe even AU-55. However, I never really know when PCGS will find a reason to body-bag a submission.
1) What grade would our Forum members estimate for this half?
2) Can anyone spot a reason why PCGS might reject this coin?
Thanks for the input!

What's the luster like on this coin? Is this the true color?

Hard to tell from the pictures. Curious spot on the neck.

I would agree that it looks AU-55 details.

Hi Prethen,
I couldn't capture the luster well in my photos. There is definitely substantial luster remaining and as you tilt the coin the luster band moves smoothly across the surfaces. There is some muting of luster over the cheek, neck, and cap which I think would be normal on an AU coin. Luster seems a bit stronger on the reverse. The photo color is pretty accurate, although the coin is a little more silvery and a little less red than the image shows.
