Tpatna wants to get into the world of 2 cent coins.

Here is potentially his first offering.

I have assigned a grade already but lets see what the forum thinks.
Extra Kudos to anyone who gets the correct attribution.

Have fun

I have had a few of these but I'm no expert.I'm going to give it a G-10 to F-12.I can almost make out the whole "WE" and some of the horizontal lines showing wear.Tip of arrow almost flat.

Hmmmm...tricky. Based on the shield horizontal lines, I'd have to say Choice VF.

I would say VG for the obverse, and the reverse looks like it could almost be XF. But since the "WE" seems to be the main factor here, I would only say a net of F-12

If the "WE" was there I'd give it a low XF but since it isn't I'kk drop a grade and say VF20

I like it...Sweet coin Richard
Between this one and Prethen's, I'm really liking
the world of 2 cent coins.

TLS5933 was the closest I have placed this VG10 no higher. Grading standards have changed since I started playing with 2 Cents most coins that would have graded G have now become VG or F.
For the coin to make F at least 50% of the W and E must be showing and the bow on the Wheat should be Clearly defined. 2 Cents are well known for weak strikes but this one is not a weak strike its just worn the 'In GOD' and Trust" are sharp. The right Arrow shaft has almost worn to the leaves.
The Horizontal and Vertical lines on the shield are some of the lowest points on the coin so even in F12 they should all be separated.

Its too bad the "WE" always wore of so quickly on thes coins as the rest can look AU and still be a VG coin. I think the wear on the "WE" is over evaluated.
