I just found a 1916-D Lincoln Wheat cent in a Canadian roll the other day. That's now my oldest.

My oldest find (any denomination, any country) in circulation is also a Lincoln Cent from Canadian change - a 1909 that I found 10 or 15 years ago. The date's almost unreadable!

Saint Ninian-

The censor tries to eliminate testing.

It accepts "R" and "U" and US, but not the letters "R", "U" or UspaceS.

Try again.

My 7 year old found a 1935 Canadian cent in better shape than the one in my collection two weeks ago. Two years ago I found a 1901 CDN dime in the change given out at a local restaurant. My wife found a 1905 quarter in an old coat pocket in her grandmothers old cloths. I found a 1916 quarter in my flower bed. In a box of Canadian pennies (1 cent coins) I found three rolls of wheat pennies and roughly 3/4 of the box were pre-65 and lots in MS right back to 1956 the oldest Canadian in the lot was a 1937 which was brown but had virtually no wear. Of the wheat pennies the oldest were 1912, 1919-S, 1919, 2 X 1920, 1925-D, 1926, 1928, 1930-D, 1935, 1935-D, 1935-S, 1936, 1936-D, 1936-S, 4 x 1937, 3 x 1938, 1938-D, 3 x 1939 and lots of the 40's and 50's. Also in my teens (in the 90's) I found a 1909 Wheat cent. I am still sorting through the box first by year then variety but I did pick out a bunch of hanging MS 62 and 63's.

I got a bag of pennies from the bank. In it were 14 Canadians, 21 wheat and 1 Barbados. Included in the Canadians were a 41, 42 and 55. The oldest wheat were 1916-S and 1918.

I pulled out 3 IH pennies from last box... 1899, 1905, 1906.
there were also 2011 cents in same NF String rolls,
how could something so old be in same roll as new 2011
