It's also a slight MAD. Very nice find. You found the hardest WAM first, congrats. FYI-acetone isn't as safe as you would think, read up on it if you plan on using it on a regular basis.

Thanks John. Is there a certain lingo used to describe this specific variety?

Congrats on the awesome find! And it does look much nicer after using the acetone on it. Very nice!

thanks! It's odd though for some reason in person it really looks different. Much more luminous and deep tones.

Congratulations! You got the hard one out of the way first. The 1998 and the 2000 will come along soon enough. And, the acetone looks to have done wonders for the coin.

Outstanding find, I've yet to find a WAM here on the west coast. But I'm glad the 99's still exist!

Thanks John...I should have said "safe on coins"...I use the stuff so often that safety comes naturally.

Thank you all so much for your congratulations on this find! Quick question. I have a bunch of things I am considering to send off to ANACS (some morgans, a few near date SBA etc.) Do you think I should have this one slabbed?

Hmmm. Good question. It probably has a value around $100, so it might be worth it. It looks like it would grade around EF-45 to AU-50. If it was me, I don't know if I would. I might do it. It would be interesting to hear what others think. You can create a poll for it and see what they think?

If you do submit it, make sure you write the variety on the form, so they know. If you just have them confirm it, I think it saves you a little money, rather than have them research it?

Good idea! A poll it is! I'll try and get some better photos first. Where do
You suggest I post this poll?
