Just picked a bunch of twos while dumping some coins at lunch, and it included these red seals:

The oldest is a really ugly 1928 G (the others are 1953 or 1953 C):

I assume they have no numismatic value in this condition, but thought I would check before spending them or something.

hard to see detail in the pictures, but these are estimates only:
bottom left ~ $10-13
two on right ~ $4-6
top left ~ not sure, but I would pay more than face for it

If you don't need the cash today, you could put those up for bid on CCF.

I'm planning on keeping them, actually. I just started collecting twos and got lucky at the second bank I asked. I just didn't expect they'd be worth anything in the condition they're in, so I didn't bother to take good photos. But it turns out my document scanner works a treat on money.

with those better pictures, I still think the bottom end of my estimates are okay.
I have a relatively small collection of notes. I am glad to have a few large bills and a national currency note.

What's the Numismedia equivalent for notes?

if that's to look up value, I don't know. My estimates were just what I paid online for similar bills.

I think the writing really brings down the value on the last three. :(

The 1953 A1809... is the least conspicuous but still not desirable.

I think they'll have to serve as placeholders until you find some better ones to upgrade.

If I were selling those I'd be happy to get $4 each after fees, shipping, etc. . .

Yeah, when someone writes in ink on them and they are that worn, it really takes a lot of value out of them.

At least you got them for face value, so you won't lose any money, by keeping them.

Keep searching. You'll find better ones eventually.
