I was thinking their estimate is way low. Especially now. It makes me feel all tingly looking at it.

Yeah, the estimate is way too low but all auction places do that these days from what I've seen & read.
If it makes you feel all tingly just lookin at the pics imagine what it will be like if you get it in hand

If you were going to get that one in hand I would advise investing in some adult nappies so you dont ruin your pants.

A very nice coin, still to my inexperienced eye I would not say that it is a MS65.

Lots of marks on the obverse and I think the bottom hand on the Reverse is showing wear.

Am I wrong here?

Still I do agree about one thing....

Very nice. Should run up close to US$1000. PCGS examples in that grade usually fetch $1000+

I think that coin would have more likely got a graded of ms64 if graded by pcgs ,still a extremely nice coin tho , I agree yep around the 1k mark for that coin , if it was a PCGS ms65 more like $1400 to 2k, if you are lucky to have a ms66 they are worth $2500+ and a ms67 well you have hit the jackpot with $4k+
I noticed there are a few pcgs ms65's on quicksales atm

I don't see the wear on the hand but my eye goes straight to the major nick right above O and R.

If I had this in hand my wife may considering it cheating. So I best let others bid on it. Cheers guys.

Nice coin, but I struggle to see how its MS65. By Australian standards it would probably be classified as choice unc. The estimate obviously is way to low, I reckon it will probably make just under $1,000

The condition is impressive, but I would have liked to seen a full wreath on the rider's head. After all, they only struck 75,000 of these, presumably off more than one working die pair.

I have an example, but is only EF, a grade in which they are commonly found.

I have one of these in ef.
I don't particularly like the design much but I had to have one to finish off my florin set.
That is the only reason I bought one.
I have dozens of 1927 parliament house florins on ef and better simply because I really like the design

The reverse design of the '34-35 Centenary Florin was done by KG. I rather like it, as well as the '27 design. This design was used on a number of medals as well, which commemorated the same event.

The '27 PH design was KG's first on an issued coin. I think it was perhaps his best. His designs on British Commonwealth and homeland coins were prolific and varied.

You could do worse than assembling a type set across the British Commonwealth of ALL of his designs. The general character of his designs, over a range of coins designed by him, become obvious.
You can tell a composer by his work. That is also the case with George Kruger Gray, (1880 - 1943).

When I was a kid, I had no idea what 'KG' meant. My answer, (wrong), was 'King Goofy', inspired by Walt Disney comics!
