Does anyone know if the 1997 10 cent coin has any errors or variations?

None that are documented as far as I know but Nancy may be able to tell you if there are any.

As apple said, none documented.

However there is a 'condition' known to occur in quite a number of 10c years. I believe it's due to die fill and the 'error' is known as "missing feather'.

Years I have: 76, 80, 82, 83, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 98, 99, 00, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08

Other years I know of are: 66, 77, 78, 79, 81, 84, 85, 88, 89, 97, 03

The closest I have for 1997, is what I call 'almost' missing feather.

This image is to show the area to look at on a normal 2006 coin:

Close up showing the remnant of the feather, which is why it's only 'almost' missing.

Not very exciting is it? I haven't even looked for any of these since 2008, and I guess it's highly probable that they may exist on later years as well.

Thanks Nancy and Appleangel07. After a quick look through some of my coins I think I found some almost missing feathers. You are right though it isn't very exiting.
Thanks Nancy for the effort in digging these images up.

I agree larena. Nancy is a gem. The level of knowledge, the ability to convey information, the painstaking documentation that must be occurring. A book Nancy, PLEASE!!

Careful what you say. I think you might be just a little bit too young for me.

The last proposal I got was in 1961!

Maybe I could 'adopt' you
