I am sorry for the poor quality photos, I am still very new at this. After searching and searching have I finally found a doubled die? or must my search continue on?
I tried to take photos from different angles and lighting to capture best exactly what I was seeing and what I think may be a doubled die. Thanks in advance for for the expert interest and advice.

I believe that this is a form of die wear but wait for someone more knowledgeable to confirm.

thanks guys, the more I look at this quarter the more interesting it gets. I think I may need to take some better pictures with reduced glare. These picture do this coin no justice. I looked under higher magnification and there is definitely some doubling that matches up almost exactly to pictures in the CherryPickers Guide and appears in the sames places as shown for the 1966 DDR. Also when flipped it appears slightly rotated to the left and there seems to be something going on around the eagles head (not sure what yet). Also the edge and rim of this coin are rather interesting to me, part of the rim is silver looking from top to bottom. Hard to explain so I will take some pictures. Very interested in others opinions. Thanks.

I think the images are too close. Nothing look like something when you look to close.
