there is a little bit of the tail doubled in the top part of the "S" and you can see triple in the bottom section
what you guys think?

Could be an RPM. Have you tried finding a match at coppercoins.com?

Yes I did that's what I was thinking too!!
But there aren't any RPM'S from 1972s so I am hoping I have found the first one!!!!!

That is damage on the punch. If you check other examples from the same mint and year you will see this on many other dies until they replace the punch. (Or you could look on coppercoins.com and see that they are also on RPMs, but not area.
