1970-D 1MM-003 Questions About Other Die Markers

i am fairly confident that this is a 1970D 1MM-003 as shown on coppercoins site. only the mint mark is shown for now. my question is about the other die markers described at coppercoins page. in this case none of the die other markers are present. there is a mark on the reverse next to the "D" in united states that could be or become the marker described.

how does one determine if this coin is an earlier die state, or later. thanks in advance.
