Where is the bottom? I finally have some dry powder and am thinking we have lower to go. I feel we are getting there.

Still waiting for... the political fortunes of Nov 2012 to become more clear. If they go the way of business, you can expect silver to drop as our economy improves. There would be no reason to buy silver now as a result.

Building up my dry powder in the meantime.

I appreciate optimism. I really, really do. However, just in case November doesn't play out as expected, I'd still commit to regularly buying on the dips.

A lot of things can happen over the next six months. Heck, just yesterday Russia's senior most military officer publicly threatened to attack the American missile defense base currently under construction in Poland. It's easy to forget what a fun world we live in sometimes.

Strong points CW, an fine example with the Russian commander about how fragile all is, an how fast things can change....

I will say some more real troubling job numbers came out. One hundred an fifteen thousand new jobs, which does not meet the population growth of one hundred an thirty thousand. Some numbers are as bad as they have ever been, an now they are saying unemployment filing is so LOW at 8%, because everyone is giving up trying to file an find a job. Not good news at all on the job front an it is gonna get worse....

I am sorry R, but I disagree strongly on the economic recovery still yet an still think we may see some PM spikes up, in the time of year we never normally do still yet this year when everyone least expects it....

I give it 2-3 years before all this "new" job creating finally proves to be a full blown hoax (at least 60%+ of it) and the inflation of people finally burst into unemployment numbers. That is truely when I believe the "man" won't be able to manipulate metals any longer. That is my rant and thank you for reading haha

You and me both, Hawk. This the wrong forum for political debate so I won't go into it in detail, but presidents of any party do NOT have as much affect on driving the economy as people might think, or hope. They are at the mercy of the markets, like everyone else. We all know the US losing it's manufacturing dominance had the greatest impact on where we are as a country right now. Competing in a strong world market is the issue here. Neither party can change the labor imbalance in pay between unskilled laborers here and in the developing world. The US has slipped badly in education vs. the rest of the world, as well. We are producing less educated children compared to China and India and about 15 other countries. The problems I briefly mentioned above did not occur under the watch of a single party and won't be fixed by one.

I agree with Hawk and Traevin. The numbers being reported are bogus and have been for a good while now. Check out the Trim Tabs blog sometime if you are interested in hearing some REAL economic news sometime. Charles Biderman does a good job with his videos and he has the real data to puncture the inflated pap that we are being constantly fed by the Fed, the gov, and the lame stream media.
