Looks like someone scrapped it on a sidewalk? The zinc is showing, correct?

I can not tell if that is zinc showing or not, don't some Brockage errors have zinc showing? The thing I questioned were what appears to be an inverted "L" in the first picture, also the lines seem to be almost parallel to one another suggesting that pavement did not cause this. Maybe a wrench I guess.
